a glimpse into my design world

MEET TAMMY

User Experience Creative Director

As a User Experience Creative Director, what I do best is bring clarity and rally people behind ideas. Taking something complicated and confusing and turning it into something that brings clarity to organizations and a voice that speaks to what customers want… that’s what I do well.

I discover and understand user needs through research and user testing. Crafting successful digital and in-person experiences that are easy and delightful to use, excites me. I apply UX / UI design best practices to accomplish this and ensure that all designs are engaging and branding is always consistent with a company’s products. By using design thinking and agile processes, I improve company practices fostering collaboration between teams. My CMS editable component design systems streamline workflow, enabling Marketing and Development teams to build and update web pages in days rather than weeks. My proven track record in the design industry has helped companies make processes more efficient, build teamwork, strengthen their brand perception, stand out from competitors, retain and gain customers leading to increased sales.

My love and excellent eye for all things design come from my 20-plus year career in UX / UI and graphic design working for a wide range of leading e-commerce companies and other retailers. These include magazine publishing, advertising, marketing for high-end retail brands in the health / wellness, jewelry, fashion and bridal industries, both B2B and B2C. I have worked with GOLO, Radian, Alfred Angelo Bridal, Bernie Robbins Fine Jewelry, Breslow Partners, Philadelphia and Washington DC Style Magazines among other companies as their UX / UI Creative Director, Creative Director and Senior Art Director.

I design websites, high fidelity web / tablet / mobile prototypes, apps, digital, advertising, print along with other media for retail / wholesale markets and local / national advertising. I enjoy directing photo shoots and television commercials. I ensure that the final product reflects absolute craftsmanship by insisting on detail and working closely with development and production. One job stands out, my showing young brides how to make their dream weddings come to life through the magic of Disney and Alfred Angelo Bridal working together to create real-life gowns of every girl’s favorite princess. Zorie LLC, a design studio I formed, specializes in custom one-of-a-kind stationery for social occasions and branding.

Building a positive work culture with a great team that has a sense of purpose and belonging is important to me. I get to know, listen, earn trust, delegate and enjoy mentoring, inspiring and motivating others, making them responsible and accountable in everything that they do. My goal is to create a work environment with A-Team players who go above and beyond, love to come to work and do better every day.

I studied at Philadelphia University’s program in Graphic Design Communications and the University of the Arts program in UX and UI Design. My international background and being bilingual in English / Spanish make me effective in a diverse team and provide me a whole-world design perspective that facilitates my being responsive to multi-cultural clients.

Fluent in English and Spanish, I grew up abroad. From living in the high Andes mountains to riding camels amongst Egypt’s magnificent pyramids, I discovered my love for beautiful art, architecture and design.

Hand in hand with the love of my life, my daughter Grace, I now experience the world through her eyes enjoying all of our daily adventures.

I try to live my life fully, breathing in every moment. Being positive, intentional and kind to others is important to me. You will find me kissing and squeezing my little girl, researching, designing, painting, antiquing, decorating, attempting to improve my cooking skills and hoping that finally someday I will learn how to play my guitar.
